4-H Youth Futures: College Within Reach National Mentoring Program
The road to college can be an exciting, yet daunting, journey. However, given an opportunity to explore the many aspects of college preparation, the journey can make all the difference in realizing future aspirations.
The 4-H Youth Futures: College Within Reach National Mentoring Program is a comprehensive, 12-month partnership in exploring the process of a successful college or career preparation experience. This unique program focuses on building relationships and strengthening college and workforce preparedness for military-connected youth between the ages of 12-17. Participants are matched with individual mentors who guide the exploration of a myriad of college preparation and readiness activities. Additionally, students will learn valuable ways of developing or strengthening relationships and support networks to enhance future decision making.
This project is supported by Grant # 2018-JU-FX-0005 awarded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
