The Journey Starts Now — Are You Ready?
Are you really ready for college life? Join us as we explore the campus of NC State University, a Tier 1 Research University, and see what it’s really like to be on campus. We’ll visit classrooms, tour state-of-the-art teaching facilities, visit with college students to get the real facts, live in dormitories, eat in the cafeteria, and meet other military teens preparing for college.
This introduction to college life will feature sessions on topics like finding funds to help pay for college, developing winning application essays, and balancing your budget. We’ll look at time management strategies to help you figure out how to succeed academically while enjoying the social opportunities available at a large college campus. An important aspect of college is developing leadership skills to stand out from the crowd. We’ll work to gain skills and knowledge to help you be ready for the leadership opportunities that will come your way.
So, what do you get for your money? Lodging and meals for the entire four-day event (including linens), program supplies and materials, and ground transportation throughout the experience. If you’re flying into Raleigh-Durham International Airport, we’ll make arrangements to get you to and from the airport. It’s a great opportunity to learn about college life first hand.
From learning about (and taste testing) the infamous Howling Cow Ice Cream to painting the Free Expression
tunnel to visiting a state of the art library (complete with a “book-bot”), you don’t want to miss this opportunity. Come join us for an outstanding Wolfpack College-2-Career Preparation & Readiness (C2PR) Camp! So, are you up for the challenge?
The “Journey” was tremendous!“
Thanks to everyone who helped make both 2016 C2PR camps a huge success! We’re honored to have been able to work with over 60 teenagers spanning 4 states and representing US Army, US Air Force, and US Coast Guard families! Please check back as we’ll be posting photos and videos from this year’s amazing teens!
